BHP and RIO have both been in business since the 1870s. They have been through many crises far worse than this.
BHP has paid a dividend every year since 1876.
BHP will be getting at least $10billion from the South32 float.
Most second tier IO producer will be out of business in a couple of years. This will leave BHP, RIO, Vale and a few others doing very nicely.
