No one should have gone to jail for the "Bottom of the Harbour schemes". They didn't break any Laws!
Howard and his cronies introduced immoral and draconian retrospective Laws and that is why people went to jail!

What will you do if the Greens get into Power and introduce retrospective Laws banning people from investing in mining companies!
You would go to jail that's what and how would that be fair?
Go to jail for something that wasn't illegal when you did it!

You may as well have no laws at all!


I lived in South East Asia for ten years. If you want to know what it is like to live in a country with no rule of Law I can tell you first hand it's really shite especially if your in business.

In a civilised society the Laws are the Laws and should be the same for everybody! If a Law allows a company to have some of its operations overseas earning less Tax then so be it.
If you don't like the Laws canvass the Government to change them.

Bitching and whining about someone for just following the Law as it is, {just because you think it should be different} is the work of envious little minds not a civilised people!
