Hierro produced small amounts of high cost sinter fines bene'd out of low grade magnetites. The fact its still operating at all is quite newsworthy.
But in terms of solving the 100 million tonne oversupply problem and pushing the IO price up, it will not make the slightest difference. Maybe a few Peruvians will lose their jobs.
