A lower Aussie dollar is good for FMG's margins its costs are denominated in Aussie Dollars and its revenues in US so that all goes to its earnings.
The last time we had a big debt payment this happened nothing much on the day and the next week ball-tearing.
Of course frankly the market is dumb if they had decent memories they would know that its late in December FMG often announces its interim dividend. This could happen again.
