I think a lot of the 'older' steel in China is blended, too, so not great quality. Not sure if it has a lot of attraction as scrap iron, once they take out the impurities, sand, plastic, chewing gum etc., not great as reo for example. That's why a lot of their older buildings clag so easily when extreme natural forces hit them.
