The only people still interested in the options are those that have been caught holding them, after thinking that they were going to make a quick buck.

The cold fact is that at the current share price, there is no likelihood of the options being of value by the time of expiry. Additionally, the fact that there are billions of those options exercisable at some price far north of the current share price, it has no bearing on the current share price. They are so far out of the money, they are not going to be exercised; they are dead. They are not suppressing the share price currently, and to think that they are is simply fanciful
