It's one of the main Chinese futures markets for iron ore and I think about 2/3 of Australian iron ore goes to China. Just as you can get a different price for the same product in different markets (eg a Big Mac price varies around the world), there is no one master global iron ore price. You can also get iron ore prices for places like the New York Exchange (NYMEX).
