NO country has ever payed it’s national debt off... since cheap money came online debt has become a new asset class.. we/our governments are now paying off debt and interest (some may now call it rent) without an end in sight, palming it off to the next government and blaming the previous one.. it’s a perfect scam.. debt is in and it’s staying in, it’s just a balancing act... and as the goverment believes, debt will be reduced with inflation and growth, hence migration at unprecedented levels.. growth at all costs...
