No it won’t as the mine has been idle for a couple of years but once again it casts doubt over the safety of their dams. Each time an event such as this occurs, it lessens whatever faith is still there in Vale to conduct their operations safely. It also hardens the resolve of regulators to audit thoroughly any dam that poses even a minute chance of rupturing.
They are one rupture away from potentially moving away from a solvent financial position.
