FMG is a fantastic company and Twiggy should be the Australian of the year since i cant think of anyone who has done more for Aboriginals, new jobs and govt income via royalties and taxes. He wont get recognized because of the crap of politics. No one (particularly form Labor /greens) want to be seen to support a miner. Twiggy understands their envy and small mindedness. Welcome to Oz politics.
The greens and Labor would rather Nationalize and tax them into the ground because they lack vision and intelligence. Politics over substance with them on a daily basis. Love to see these idiots survive without it given the budget turn around and their focus on punishing doers and their need to buy voters with the royalties. Their ideological focus on climate change is a great way to kill the golden goose and one day the voters will turn on them with a vengeance, a bit like what happened with the Democrats. Only a matter of time. History is set to repeat by the looks of things.
Why politics? Because you need to watch the election. If Labor and polls are right for once, a Shorten govt will need to pay off the greens and some wacko factions within his own nutty party. This will mean another tilt and carbon and other new taxes. Labor never forget, and they certainly wont because the miners and Abbott smashed them out of office. Keep your eyes open for a correction on them getting into office. This is for more than just FMG. We don't have long to fins out. dyor
