There were options with a strike of $8.71 yesterday and I kept thinking as the Dalian was surging from 3:30pm to 4, FMG was being held back at $8.70 to potentially get $8.71 puts in the money.
Eventually the dam wall broke and closed at $8.72, lol. I sold my remaining calls that expired yesterday at 1.5c!
Options have expiry dates each Thursday nowadays so they should have less impact than previous. It is usually the options that expire near the EOM (ie next Thurs) that are more heavily traded as they become tradeable earlier than other expiry sets.
Anyway, hopefully the brakes are off and it runs hard today!
