Doesn’t Cliffs realise that producing say 100K of something at $1 each and selling at $1 is worse than producing say 95k @ $0.90 each and selling at $1.
It’s not a hard concept to understand when margins are extremely tight. No point producing more of something at a loss than something less at a gain. With that rant, they may be off China’s Xmas card list....
In any case, FMG made it clear in one of their recent presentations that other products in the market are not necessarily superior to theirs....see below
