Blast furnace capacity utilisation %:
blast furnace capacity utilization rate among the 247 blast furnace steelmakers across China under Mysteel’s weekly survey recovered slightly by 0.66 percentage point on week to 79.65% during the week of December 27 2019-January 2 after three weeks of declines, which was mainly as steel mills in North China’s Hebei and East China’s Shandong provinces faced less severe restriction during the period.
Rebar stocks:
Overall inventories of rebar, including stocks across steelmakers and social warehouses, increased 8.7% and posted 5.6 million mt as of January 2, following after an increase of 5.2% in the prior week.
On a yearly basis, overall inventories were 2.2% higher as of January 2, reversing a decline of 4.4% last week.
