DJ Chinese Iron Ore Prices Fall as Global Shipments Rise -- Market Talk
0252 GMT - Iron-ore prices slide in early Asian trade as shipments from Brazil and
Australia rise faster than market expectations. Iron ore's recent rally was spurred by
the Covid-19 pandemic which had subdued shipments from Brazil, but exports from there
have exceeded market views to recover to its five-year average, which may exert pressure
on iron-ore prices, China Futures says. The most-traded September iron-ore contract on
the Dalian Commodity Exchange is down 2.4% at CNY702.5 a metric ton. ([email protected])
