New coronavirus bulletin - Today, 28th June, Parauapebas confirmed 176 more new cases of covid-19, exceeding the mark of ten thousand positive cases. Also another death has been recorded. A 93 year old hypertensive and diabetic gentleman who was in the HGP ICU. Parauapebas Prefecture continues to provide PCR exams in the drive thru, in the Parque dos Carajás neighborhood, and at health posts. Do your part. Keep social distance and follow hygiene protocols. 10,000 cases in a city of 200,000. That is 5%. And remember, while Carajas City(pop 6,000) is Vale's dormitory town, Parauapebas is its local supply base.
