The short term China plan is two or three more deep water ports in Brazil, near Sao Luis, Para state. This week they have approved four more deep water ports in China to take the massive 400,000 tonne capacity Valemax ships. Build the new specialised ports in Brazil, add rail, and simultaneously expand S11D. Hey, presto, another 100 mt. delivered to Chinese mills. Brazil and China in port development talks this week. CCCC will undoubtedly be involved on the port/rail development side. But then, there is that pesky virus.
