We wouldn’t have to add extra berths to increase exports, we currently have 5 berths, but only 3 ship loaders so there is always at least 2 ships sitting there not being loaded at any one time.

Having less loaders than berths isn’t a bad thing, because some times a berth will have a full ship sitting in it waiting for the tide or completing pre loading checks etc.

but it takes one loader 30 hours to fill a ship, having an extra loader or two would increase our shipping capacity by 30% - 60%.

but again this all depends on having the slots to bring in and out enough ships to make the additional loaders worthwhile.
