    From a different perspective;

    It’s never wise to kick a hornets nest.

    The Aus government is doing everything it can, without causing a complete capitulation of our economy.

    If they were to ‘muscle up’ to China, it would be akin to pitting a Chihuahua against a pit bull in a dog fight. It would not end well for us at all.

    As hard as this may seem to be believed (from what I’m reading on here lately), we need China to buy our products more than they need to buy them from us.

    I agree completely with some of the sentiment re China’s actions and tactics, but coming to a fair (globally) and mutually beneficial conclusion is going to take time, patience, diplomacy, and carefully planned and executed cooperation between multiple nations. The wheels are already in motion for that now.

    Our IO revenue is almost singlehandedly the reason we are pulling ourselves out of recession, which usually takes years to do.

    Do we really want to gamble with that..?

    Not me.

    Just my musings.

    Shaggy
