FMG Net profit for Dec is circa $940m, this is based on a Ave Seabourne IO 62% price of $155.76
The Jan average to date is $169.5 an increase of ~ 8.8%
Assuming corresponding rise in profit we are tracking over $1B probably closer to $1.1B for the month.
The fundamentals all point to sustained prices at these levels or an increase in prices.
- Reduction in supply especially Brazil
- Increasing documented production and demand globally for steel
Plus now we have the means & plan to become a much bigger more diversified company making green steel.
At these prices I am selling other stock and buying more obviously
