"Vale ended 2020 with 322 Mt of production capacity"
...... but only produced 300.4 Mt for the year.. just above the low end of guidance (300Mt), and less than the 2019 run rate of 302Mt- in the year of Brumadinho.
Vale says they will end 2021 with 350Mt production CAPACITY........
but have not changed 2021 production GUIDANCE of 315-335Mt.
They are playing "spin the media". And their figures are assuming there are no significant accidents. A big assumption with this crew, especially given they have already had one in January. The fire at PdM- which is still limiting shipments.
In 2020- guidance was downgraded three times.
