Not sure about that as the auction seems to play a role on the post 4pm indicative (as it does on open) be it positive or negative which results in a closing price actually at 4.10pm after the influence of auction. You can see immediately after 4pm the IOP is pushed around which results in an up or down close. So lets not kid ourselves that it has "no" effect. Sure it might be less if this carryon happened as we approach 4pm. Guess we can be thankful for small mercies. They are just trying to keep a big hole in the sentiment bubble to serve their own agenda.
