Lol, how's the price of scrap today? Buying plenty as always? You just never know one day they will take off in China.
Normally I will join you two, or three incl. Toto, but you three have such fun together and can enjoy each other without my company.
Dalian crashed down to 513 and I was hoping Rosayrov is wrong about closing price of $5.80, man he is close again, I guess the knife would come out now that he missed by 1c.
China Steel Association came out last night and said IO September price is likely to be "weaker", and of course it's gonna say that, all it's members are buyers of IO. It made a bit of news so looks like it's the weakest future today among all the "black" series of futures.
Now the difference between current spot price at Rizhao Port and Dalian Future is over 120 yuan, something has to give, and I don't think Spot is going to fall 120 yuan anytime soon.
Despite all the restrictions, Chinese Crude Steel production continue to set new records. This just came out now:
August, China produced 74.59MT of crude steel, up 8.7% from last year, and broke last month's record of 74.02MT.
Jan-Aug totaled 566.41MT, up 5.6% from last year.
