Also, if it were to happen, wouldn't it mean that franked income producing assets become more popular?
If I'm going to pay 47% tax either way, surely an income where 30% of that tax is pre-paid becomes preferential (obviously as it is currently, if the option is 23.5% vs 30% the decision is reversed).
I know it is never that simple as one vs the other - but it could have some positives for FMG if it were to go ahead.
Also, if it were to happen, wouldn't it mean that franked income...
