Brazil shipped 5.5 million tonnes of iron ore from its nine ports globally, down 1.8 million tonnes or 24.7% on week.

The total volume of iron ore dispatched to global destinations from the 19 ports and 16 mining companies in Australia and Brazil quickly recovered over May 3-9 from a one-week fall, gaining 303,000 tonnes or 1.2% on week to 24.8 million tonnes, mainly due to higher volume from Australia having offset the decline from Brazil, according to Mysteel’s latest survey.Over the survey period,theAustralian iron ore shipments from its ten ports bound for global destinationsrecovered from a one-week slip, up 2 million tonnes or 12% on week to 19 million tonnes, while Brazil shipped 5.5 million tonnes of iron ore from its nine ports globally,down 1.8 million tonnes or 24.7% on week.
