I said with the measures in place to maximize scrap recycling, cut excess steel production, bar steel export, encourage steel import and having stockpiled domestic and imported ores for about a year then China can get away (most importantly with ramp up of massively expanded IO mining capacity) with importing very little Pilbara ore in the next 6 months. Hence a partial boycott.

I always maintain thay China in this boycott scenario will continue to import from Brazil, South Africa, India and other sources like Iran and Sierra Leone.
