Actually Z, this looks more accurate - this is Friday's spot price. The reason spot is flat is that August 9 is a Singapore public holiday, so indices are not published for SMM & same goes for Fastmarkets MB (Metalbulletin).
This indicates that Rurenga will also likely show IO price as no change when he posts tomorrow morning.
With the Dalian down again, spot price tonight is actually off by US$7/t. This is where Beijing based Custeel is useful as is not affected by Singapore public holidays.
