It is ridiculous that this thread is 500+ pages in length and no one has a firm grip on the Iron Ore price to use that will influence FMG's share price.

Dalian Iron Ore futures are PHYSICALLY SETTLED, this is the best forward-looking futures price you will get that will influence Australian Iron Ore stocks and that price is obtainable here:

Note the DCE website is a bit dodgy, check to ensure the nearest month futures contract is being displayed or just use IG's link.

Overnight physically settled Iron Ore prices for September declined -2.5%.

Other Iron Ore prices are:

• Seaborne - no one cares, it's not forward-looking, only @kn0way gets timely data and it will converge toward the Dalian price.
• Singapore/CME futures - not physically settled and the contract is arguing the arithmetic average Platts Iron Ore price for the month, not the actual Iron Ore Price... but is still reasonable - Nolan78 constantly posts this data for the current month which is just wrong and not an indication of current or future Iron Ore price.
