ABSTRACT
Total volume of iron ore dispatched to global destinations from the 19 ports and 16 mining companies in Australia and Brazil under Mysteel’s survey slipped to a three-month low of 22.8 million tonnes over August 9-15, or having retreated by 2.9 million tonnes or 11.3% on week from a one-week gain, mainly as lower volume from Australia had offset the increment from Brazil.
Over the latest survey period, Australian iron ore shipments from its ten ports bound for global destinations declined to 15.1 million tonnes, hitting a four-month low after retreating from one week of rise by 4.2 million tonnes or 22% on week, while Brazil shipped 7.7 million tonnes of iron ore
