IO is not finished. Delta is causing lock downs in China and that is why the IO price is down.
The world will always need IO.
Lithium is in super boom mode now and that is only going to go up and up until green hydrogen cars start appearing
then it to will fall.
Electric cars will get to expensive due to not enough lithium to make batteries. Graphene batteries may replace lithium.
China already run out of the stuff and looking to top up.
I see green hydrogen as a stop gap before fusion batteries and then everything changes.
