Good on you for being brave enough to be in FMG with your life savings although personally I recommend a bit of diversification since all companies have risk.
However FMG is a great company to be invested in. Regarding your comment that it is so nice to hear something positive because the doom and gloom is keeping you up at night, here are a few small positives for you.

Iron ore prices are strong and have held up well despite the trouble in China. This is a sign of a strong underlying Fe market.

The FMG IBO project is proceeding well and will ramp up to full production next year with a product grade of 67% Fe. This will give FMG exposure to ultra premium prices for about 20 mtpa of product (BHP and Rio product is 62% Fe or thereabouts).

FMG operations are excellent and guidance is for another strong half year.

Cash management at FMG has been excellent. It is net free of debt which gives it protection in this risky market and it did not do anything silly like buy back its shares at a market high point. It simply handed its earnings to its shareholders as dividends and also reinvested substantial funds via the IBO project and FFI. This is an indicator of excellent underlying financial leadership.

The FMG share price is at a low PE there is plenty of upside risk. The dividends limit the downside risk. So buying or holding your FMG shares is something you should not lose sleep at night about.

Don't worry about the negative comments on this forum. If the comment is well researched read it and try and learn from it. Most of the negative comments here, however, have no research backing them. Take those comments for what they are worth (a laugh) and appreciate the humour of people wasting their time writing un-researched negative comments on a stock forum to a group of readers they do not know and who do not know them. Those comments are good for amusement but certainly not worth worrying about.

There are lots of people on this forum that write well researched information (both positive and negative). Read that it is useful.
