I honestly don't see how your example is relevant.
Costs can increase in USD terms, absolutely, but that's different to costs rising BECAUSE OF THE USD.
Any cost that rises because of the USD, should be offset by revenue received in USD. In fact, in my example strengthening USD actually results in greater net Income for FMG investors due to the base affect.
If costs increase, it doesn't matter if they are in USD or AUD, costs just increase. I think you are confusing the two.
