This quarter started at US$35/t margin gap between 58% grade and 62% grade today its US$36.80/t .
Years ago it was as low US$14/t
The fact is short term or long term what he said is incorrect.
Higher grades are definitely getting a growing margin when comparing like iron ore prices.
The margin does get much higher when the iron ore prices go higher.
The record grade margin was on the 5th July 2021 when the
58% grade was US$158.50/t, vs. 62% grade was US$220.70/t margin gap = US$62.20
65% grade was US$252.50/t and pellets at US$328/tonne.
This was a record for pellets too with a grade margin gap of US$169.30/tonne
