Yes. If you've got a reasonable time horizon.
Value over a single years time looking forward from today would be the expected capital gain (if any over that 12 months) plus the expected returns from dividends, divided by the purchase price you'd have to pay if you bought today.
From the percentage yield expected - then compare with your other options.
