well, if we use your analogy then no one will put a price on FMG's Lower grade IO... IMO.

If you can't give loan to suicide bomber because they may not be around in 5 years to pay back then how come one can put a price on Fe 58 grade IO which may be in worst condition in 10 years time when climate change probably be much serious issue?

FFI and other exploration target of FMG are not mature enough to put any price on them and also FFI is eating 10% of NPAT every year on year without any limit on how long it will continue to consume FMG profit before it becomes profitable itself?

so instead of wisely using extra cash to acquire something that FMG can start producing from year on year AF end-up committing to something without any guaranteed numbers on return on investment or pay-back period etc?
