The other thing to note is that the 1st session starts at 9pm the night before and ends at 3pm on the following business day.
The DCE is a unique beast. I don't proclaim to understand all details or rational.
@Convexity can you add anything further to explain the DCE IO trading process etc?
The ASX market opens at 10am, the DCE opens at 11am.
I find that once the DCE session opens it can and often does impact the pricing / demand for ASX listed assets IO miners and related dominant IO miners ( like BHP & RIO) and to a lesser extent to MIN etc.
Anyway food for thought.
For me if the change in the DCE is dramatic Up swing on a down day for the share, I see this as a strong opportunity to buy ( Ceteris Paribus )
