They had nasty pandemics then too and anti biotics were just getting started.
Rather be living now than back then. Got ill back then and likely die early.
Now on the cusp of stopping cancers and other diseases.
And then there was all these police actions(wars) that went on for years in Korea, Vietnam and likely end up killed or injuried for life without a limb or two.
Best time to be alive is now.
Our standard of living is far better than back then.
