Ah !... but you may be forgetting the one undeniable factor which strikes unfailingly at EOM/EOQ/EOFY/EOCY... the greed of the institutional investing sector. These institutional types and their broker and analyst sidekicks were all saying sell only a month or so ago. IO is finished, they said. The stock will fall to $13 or $12 or worse, they said. All while buying with their ears pinned back, from the usual panicked patsies.
The subsequent 40% or so gain will do wonders for their EOQ figures and ensure another round of eye-watering bonuses for not much work but a little scare campaign. Works a treat every time...
