A few great stories of people improving their lives by share investing. FMG has created massive wealth for it's share holders and still continues to help give shareholders financial freedom. Andrew Forrest took a penny dreadful stock to the moon and he should be an Australian hero for all the people he has helped both employees and shareholders. Just a reminder for all holders FMG, it was once known as Allied and Mining. It held leases for iron ore in the Pilbara and a few leases for other minerals overseas. The share price was 1 cent per share for years. in June 2002 you could buy as many as you liked at that price, a $1000.00 would of brought 100,000, in July 2002 there was a share split of 1/1 so a shareholder would be holding 200,000 shares.

Forrest can on the scene around that time and was elected chairman of Allied and Mining. He sold the oversea leases and with that money changed the company name to FMG and started the process to develop the leases for iron ore in the Pilbara. His many critics said it could not be done!
He has proved all his critics very wrong and a shareholder who had brought $1000.00 of shares 20 years ago after the 10/1 split back in 2007 would now be holding 2,000,000 shares in FMG. At say $20.00 a share that would be $40,000,000 worth at todays prices for a $1000.00 investment 20 years ago!!!!!!

I am 61, I left school at 15 and worked flat out from then till I was 45, at that point I had enough dividend income to do what I liked. Very nice to hear stories of people who have been able to do what they wont with their lives, good on them! Share investing is the way to go. To others keep working hard and investing, your day will come too. A shout out to "tomboy" you have been posting very good information, I hate shorters too. Hope you can start investing again soon!
