Other reasons the FFI debt load looks to be lower for FFI projects over the next few years include:
- access to substantial government grants in the US (under the Inflation Reduction Act) and Europe (under the European Commission)
- partnering on multiple projects
- going global and being “thought leaders” to make both the above points happen.
Hopefully the erstwhile laggard Australian Government cottons on soon how much Australian ingenuity is being exported to international benefit and Australia’s detriment … and does something positive to lock in strong global positioning for Australia in renewables including green hydrogen and green steel.
