Keep in mind the argument isn't necessarily that a lower USD increases the spot price off commodities (although it technically should), the argument is that a lower USD supports the rest of the world to consume more of the commodity.

The consequence of this is potentially a higher future rate for the commodity (which increases long term earnings expectations) rather than an instantaneous shot in the arm via a higher spot price.
