I wonder if the Ukraine invasion gestated during Trump's Presidential term as Putin's puppet, and the current war is a delayed reaction, i.e. Trump's fault, even though it started on Biden's watch.
Xi is reputedly more rational and less ignorant than Trump, less ruthless than Putin and with a lot more to lose economically, so maybe the Democrats have a better policy, creating consequences for Chinese aggression. But I emphasise "maybe". I really don't know.
As for share prices, sometimes when something terrible happens, they can go up, so hating Trump and not selling if he wins is reasonable.
