Today's focus will be on BHP following the proposed takeover for Anglo. It will be a horrible start for the ASX opening down some 100pts as interest rate cut expectations are unwound. The US is also finding itself in a tough spot with GDP growth far weaker than expected, but inflation higher... overnight the US 2-year rate pierced 5% despite the significantly weaker than expected GDP numbers.
