FMG has made me a lot of money also. And i still own shares. I am well off now thanks to share investing. But as a young man i made many mistakes and the worst was using financial instruments and gearing assuming "this time its different".

My point is that theres an awful lot of positive sentiment on this forum at the moment to the point of being unrealistic. And there's talk of using financial instruments and an attitude that its okay because we are at the bottom and the cycle wont go lower. That's dangerous and a classic mistake of young investors.

My point is that i am just stating my view. And balancing the one sided opinion i am reading here.

i also want to highlight to posters that the one sided opinions go both ways. A couple of years ago during a difficult period for IO this forum was as filled with negativity as it is filled with positivty now. That wasnt real either.
