Nothing new here.
In Australia we call it tyre kicking to get the best price.
China's imports of iron ore have increased every year for the past 4 years with last year being a record breaking 1.18 billion tonnes, and the way the monthly figures are going so far this year we may be in for a new record.
When buying so much, of course they want to bargain for the best price they can.
