Chinese Australia here. Lived in Shanghai for 6 years and Beijing 2 years and Chongqing 2 years. So when I say speaking from experience I actually mean it.
China is not a place to voice your political agenda. However if you have a good income like many upper middle class as such myself you can be treated like a king compared to the same money you earn here. Let’s not even getting into the food and the nightclub scene over there. As if I spoken too much I would have the urge to go back and leave everything behind to enjoying it once more
Australia = Quiet life where all the devils are contained
China = anything goes just don’t get into the politics and you be safer than walking streets at night compared to here
At the moment. Their economy is in trouble, people now rather stay at home glued to their phones rather than enjoying the life’s before Covid. Less consumption = less needs for everything = bad news for many
