I travelled in China for two months in 1985 ! A lot has changed . China lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty. Human rights is not only being able to talk politics! It is the right of having a roof over their head and food to eat ! In the USA the ** between rich and poor has widened in the past 50 years and many homeless or massively in debt to the banks ! Yes , they have the freedom to choose only betwee two similar parties every four years and vote for someone who represent the interest of the elites . I live mostly in Thailand and in Byron bay in my retirement and I find Thai people are much calmer and friendly than Australian in general and I feel much safer going out late at night than in any western countries. Sadly most people are conditioned to think that they are the best country. I say to get up and travel and stop watching the TV and the main cooperate media that make you think the way they want you to think for their own agenda . Think for yourself.
