Shorting is not illegal, but nor is it investing. Its just a trading technique, that brings liquidity to a stock. What is unethical is shorting, then fearmongering in the media and on forums like HC, which we know some fundies, and traders, do. Actually, HC should ban shorters from posting content free fearmongering posts , which do nothing to inform investors or potential investors. Will they? Shorting has nothing to do with building a company, or building a nation, its only aim is short term trading and creating profits at the expense of longer term investors.
