So I'n your scenario let's say your right. Share price drops to $5. Now if you purchased 10,000 shares that's a outlay of $50,000
Dividend as you say is approx 70 cents per year..
not hard to see the div would be $7,000 a year. That's 14% on your investment.. oh of course there's the franking credits on top.
What's the problem with that, try finding t that return anywhere else..
