Fluffy and apparently pointless as this sort of stuff is, think of it as relatively low cost PR that helps the company in its everyday dealings with Aboriginal commmunities, environmentalists, Governments and other potential future antagonists.
Just something to remember as you make the bi-annual skip through photos of smiling fluoro-vested indigenous folk and the company's only female plant mechanic, in search of the meat in the financial reports.
