Been watching North Korea for last few years. traditionally, nth Korea had the backing of China. However, our little mate in nth Korea is a bit of a loose canon and I am sure he is a thorn in their sides. Having said that, China keeps him on a chain, but will not allow the USA to let loose and take over the Korean Peninsula (both nth and Sth). This would not be advantageous to China having the USA controlled country as a neighbour. But having said that, China is playing an act of diplomacy as trump is changing his views on China policy as it is USA companies who are to blame by sending factories in China where labour and components are cheaper. However both the USA and China will benefit out of the steel manufacturing process. China will make money selling to the USA and the USA will benefit from steel imports that will gear the economy.
